

"Elmer Leo Brown, a resident of the LA War Veterans Home in Jackson, LA, passed away at the Carpenter House on May 6, 2018. He was born in Bogue Chitto, MS on December 7, 1921. Leo was a proud veteran of WWII, having served on the USS Tuscaloosa as a Bugler First Class. He retired from Ethyl Corporation after 36 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Belle and Enoch Brown, sister Lurline Roye (husband Archie), brother Lenox Brown (wife Delouise), wife Dora Lee Brown, daughter-in-law Linda Brown, infant grandson Jared Keith Brown, and grandson Jed Lawton. He is survived by daughter Cheri Decoux (husband Mike), son Terry Brown (wife Faye), son Keith Brown (wife Jan), and stepson Dickie Lawton (wife Tanya). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst East, 11000 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 12PM until 2PM. Followed by a Memorial Service at 2PM with Dr. Chuck Lowman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, P.O. Box 4196, Monroe, LA 71211-4196.
