Eloise Zachary Keating

Eloise Zachary Keating, age 91, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, at Flannery Oaks Nursing Home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Born on July 25, 1933, in Franklinton, Louisiana, Eloise was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge and a student of Istrouma High School.

Eloise was devoted to her faith and loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart. Time spent with her family brought her immense joy, and her legacy of love and belief will continue through them.

She is survived by her children: Alta Laciura (Phil), Karla Ashford (Gerald), Charlotte Geoghagan, and Robert Keating Jr.; her cherished grandchildren: Cole Laciura (Cyndi), Mathew Ashford (Tierney), Shaun Ashford (Haley), Jenee’ Musso (Kyle), Will Laciura (Shelby), Holden Keating, Avery Geoghagan, Zachary Geoghagan (Jaelyn),and her adored great-grandchildren: Bentley Musso, Beau Laciura, Milanyia Musso, Allie Laciura, Walker Ashford, John Parker Laciura, Knox Ashford, and two more expected great-grandchildren who will surely know her legacy. She is also survived by her devoted sister, Jewette Ashford.

Eloise was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Robert Keating Sr.; her parents Remey and Ophelia Zachary; her son-in-law Todd Geoghagan; and her siblings: Rita Bullock Forbes, Houston Zachary, JB Zachary, Athalone Morrow, Mack Zachary, Margarite Bergeron, Billy Zachary, and LaDonice Wells.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and granddaughter: Cole Laciura, Will Laciura, Mathew Ashford, Avery Geoghagan, Zachary Geoghagan, Jenee’ Musso and Holden Keating. Shaun Ashford will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home on Florida Boulevard on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 1:00 PM, followed by a service beginning at 1:30 PM. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

The service will be conducted by Wayne Austin, A. B. Keating, and Gerald Ashford.

Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who loved her.
