She is survived by her son, Chris Bonnette; granddaughter, Jessica Bonnette; two grandsons, Scott and Brandon Cowart; and great-grandchild, Penelope Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Russell J. Bonnette; daughter, Gayle Bonnette Cowart; parents, Samuel and Azema Roussel Dupuy; brothers, Earl, Dewey, Russell, and Sammy Dupuy; and sister-in-laws, Alice Mae and Zula Dupuy.
Emily retired from La Department of Highways after many years of service as a stenographer.
