Emily Anne Dolenc Bullock, born June 29, 1922, passed away surrounded by her family on May 31, 2012, in Baton Rouge, after a brief illness. She was 89 and a resident of Greenwell Springs. Visitation will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church Saturday from 11:30am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00pm, conducted by the Rev. Michael Moroney. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by her three children: McCauley O. Bullock, Jr.&his wife Helen LeSueur, Lindsey A. Bullock&his wife Terri Colomb, and Jean Anne Bullock Songy&her husband Michael; nine grandchildren: Mary Louise Bullock, Lauren Bullock Hover&husband Wills, McCauley O. Bullock III, William LeSueur Bullock, John Allen Bullock, Julie Ann Bullock, Emily Kathryn Songy, Elaine Elizabeth Songy, Gerald Michael Songy; two greatgrandchildren: Wills Hover and Wren Louise Mott. She was preceded in death by her husband: McCauley O. Bullock, as well as her parents: John P.&Jennie Novak Dolenc; and a sister: Jean Dolenc Sterling. Gramma was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of a Slovenian immigrant. She was a graduate of Kent State University and served in the Army Medical Corps as a First Lieutenant. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Small Christian Community, The Magnolia Social Club, Tri Psi Mothers' Club, The Louisiana State Dietetic Association, and the American Dietetic Association, where she served as national president. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and Pat Mack. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations my be made to St. Vincent de Paul, P.O. Box 127, Baton Rouge, LA 70821. The family wishes to thank all her caregivers: Geraldine Carver, Mary Eloise Paul, Sandy Punchard, Geneva Wesley, Ann Wisecarver and her special neighbor Hilda Bonilla.
