A member of the Catholic High School class of 1977, Ed will be remembered by all for his sweet nature, generous spirit, and steadfast friendship.
He was preceded in death by his father, Emmett Batson, Sr., and his stepfather, Robert “Bob” McIlhenny.
He is survived by his mother, Anne Batson McIlhenny; his brother, Andy Batson; his sister, LeaAnne Batson; his half-sister, Terry Buch; nieces, Hannah Hyman, Emily Hyman, Kristen Buch, Megan Buch, Jenny Buch and Lauren Elizabeth Pace; great niece, Margo Rose Howard; nephews, Mac Batson, Michael Hyman, and Liam Batson; and extended family members in north Louisiana.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 24, from 9 to 11 a.m. with service to follow at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802.
