Erlyene C. Sanidas, age 96, passed away on Friday September 11, 2026, at the age of 96. Erlyene was born to Sidney Ross Crump and Tressia Helen Edge and lived a long life spanning more than nine decades.
Throughout her life, Erlyene had a special love for animals. Her dogs were especially dear to her, and she devoted much of her time and attention to caring for them. Her compassion for animals was an important part of who she was and continued throughout her life.
Erlyene is survived by her daughter, Sheryl S. Richard, and her son, Theodore “Teddy” Sanidas; her three grandchildren, Tressia Davis and husband Jeff, Chara Lyons and husband Curt, and Charlie Rogers and wife Whitney; and her six great-grandchildren, Kasidy Maltez, Contessa Rogers, Gabriel Rogers, Remington Lyons, Colt Lyons, and Skylen Lyons.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Ross Crump and Tressia Helen Edge.
Erlyene will be remembered for her lifelong love of animals and the many dogs she loved and cared for over the years.
