Erwin Paul Weiland, 66, passed away peacefully at Ochsner Memorial Hospital in New Orleans on Monday, Aug. 16, 2010. He was an Army veteran who served honorably in Vietnam. Mr. Weiland, or "Erv," spent his career in health care administration and had been currently employed as executive account manager for Affiliated Computer Services, a Xerox corporation. He was much beloved by his family, friends and business associates and employees and was known for his warmth, humor and spirit. He is survived by his lifetime partner, Suzanne Danilson; a daughter, Frances McAllister; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Carole Weiland; niece, Lori Anderson; and nephew, Daniel Weiland. He was preceded in death by his father, Erwin Herman Weiland; and mother, Hennrietta Elinor Weiland. A memorial service will be conducted at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., Saturday, Aug. 21, at 4 p.m. and will be preceded by a greeting from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at www. pancan.org.
