

"Esma Hall Brougham, 83, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, August 11, 2018. A native of Reserve, Louisiana, she was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She was the heart of her entire family and cherished being surrounded by those she loved. She was generously responsive to the needs of everyone in her family. Her favorite pastime was being with her grandchildren; yet, she also loved traveling abroad with her husband, baking, sewing, and playing Scrabble. She served as a lector, sacristan, and a member of the bereavement committee at St. Aloysius Catholic Church for many years. She is survived by her loving husband, Wayne Brougham; her sister, Reah Bernard; her three children: Regina (John) Cook, Blandin and Maxine Clark; her five grandchildren: Christianna and Christabella Clark, Matthew and Rita Miller, and Mark Cook; and a host of dear nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Clark; her parents, Edward and Vivian Hall; her sister, Sr. Cornelia Hall, and her brother Edsel Hall. A Visitation will held on Friday August 17th, 2018 at 10:00am, with a Memorial Mass to follow at 11:00am at St Aloysius Catholic Church, 2025 Stuart Ave, Baton Rouge. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Aloysius Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society.
