Estelle Chisholm Woodward, 78, peacefully passed away on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, at Ochsner Medical Center in Baton Rouge. She was a native of Kentwood and a resident of Baton Rouge. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, Dec. 30, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Timothy Kennedy. She is survived by her seven children, Linda and husband Gene Hill, Gary, Kenny and wife Terry, Darryl, Roger and wife Diane, Gerald and Debra Ann Woodward; nine grandchildren, Kevin, Tonia, Kelly, Tracy, Jamie, Cody, Michael Paul, Brittany and James; and seven great-grandchildren, Michael Paul II, Matthew, Cheyenne, Savannah, Haley, Cambre and Carmen. She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Woodward; sister, Ruby C. Torres; and parents, Ethel Day and Willie W. Chisholm. Our loving mother will be laid to rest alongside her husband and our dad at Harrell-Nesom Cemetery in Grangeville. Pallbearers will be her five sons, Gary, Kenny, Darryl, Roger and Gerald, and a son-in-law of 40 years, Gene.
