Esther Abbott SmithShe passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015 at her residence in Baton Rouge. She was 85 years old and a native of Spencer, Iowa. Esther is survived by her four children, Kathaleen Elizabeth Barbin, Marion Marie Bankston, Sharon Beveridge and Vernon Joseph Smith, Jr.; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Esther was preceded in death by her husband Vernon Joseph Smith, Sr. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 18, 2015, at Roselawn Memorial Park.
