Evalyn Bedell Lank, 77, of Baton Rouge passed away at her home on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. She was born on March 5, 1947 to John G and Georgine Bedell in New Orleans, LA. She attended elementary school in New Orleans and moved to Baton Rouge at the age of 9. She attended University High School and then graduated from Louisiana State University, where she was an active member of Kappa Delta sorority. It was in high school that she met her future husband Robert B. Lank, Jr "Bobby" and they enjoyed 56 years of marriage together. They raised two wonderful daughters, June Elizabeth Williamson (Steve) and Janette Mae Jackson (Todd). Evalyn is survived by her husband, daughters and son in laws Liz and Steve Williamson and Jenny and Todd Jackson and her four grandchildren Liza and Charlie Jackson and Rob and Georgia Williamson.
She enjoyed cooking, decorating, reading, playing tennis and bridge, working in her gardens with her flowers, but most of all she loved to host special gatherings with family and friends. Nothing could bring a smile faster to her face than seeing or talking about her grandchildren. She was so proud of all of their accomplishments. She loved to be with her family and friends and looked forward to each time they could all be together.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Georgine Bedell and her older sister Georgia Bedell Caballero and her sister in law and her husband Randy and Judy Lofton. She is also survived by her younger sister Betty and many nieces and nephews.
