

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” Evelyn Louise Credeur passed away peacefully at her home February 27th, 2025 at the age of 77. She was a native of Port Barre and resident of Port Allen.
Evelyn was a registered nurse, but made the decision to stay at home supporting her husband, children and later her grandchildren. She spent numerous years working with Boy Scout Troop 38 and volunteering in West Baton Rouge Parish Schools. She loved attending her children and grandchildren’s extracurricular activities and events. She was an avid sports fan particularly Duke basketball. The greatest love of her life was her husband, Raymond. They would have celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on May 11th.
She is survived by her husband Raymond Credeur; her children Nancy Cipriano(Daniel) and David Credeur; grandchildren, Kesley Credeur, Ariana Cipriano, Lindsay Cipriano, Colby(Madison) Credeur, Quinton Credeur; sister Barbara(Charles) Ardoin and brother Bob(Margie) Robin; great-grandchildren, Chandler Credeur; godchild,Troy Willeford. Preceded in death by parents, Jack James Robin and Armonce Portal Gautreaux; siblings Shirley Willeford and Leo Robin. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 9:00am-11:00 AM at Greenoaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, Louisiana followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. An interment will occur following at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Kelsey Credeur, Ariana Cipriano, Lindsay Cipriano, Colby Credeur, Quinton Credeur and Brent Tassin. The family would like to thank Bridgeway Healthcare and Hospice for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
