Our mom was the most amazing person with the most beautiful blue eyes who touched many lives. All who knew her loved her and she returned that love unconditionally. Granny, 82, passed gently into God's arms at 3:35 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2008, surrounded by family at her home in Baton Rouge. Her motto was "the more, the merrier" and our home was always open to all. Her two favorite sayings were "This too shall pass" and "If you can't do anything about it, put it in God's hands and forget about it." She truly lived by those words. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Monday, May 5, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes in the funeral home chapel Tuesday from 8 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by Deacon Brent Duplessis. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Cathy S. Bond, and Bonnie S. and Donnie Moran; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Pat and Cindy Scanlon, and Mike Scanlon Sr.; 14 grandchildren, Joy Saunier and fiancé Scott Stoneham, Patrick Scanlon Jr. and wife Jana, Corey Scanlon, Amy Scanlon, John Bond II, Sgt. 1st Class Clint Bond and wife Sgt.
