A longtime resident of Baton Rouge and a native of New Orleans, she passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2010, at her home in Pearland, Texas. Fay was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. "Charlie" Burns Sr.; and parents, Anthony H. Martin and Zelida Zeringue Martin, of New Orleans. She is survived by her daughter, Charla Burns Miller and husband William Robert Miller Jr., of Cypress, Texas; son, Charles L. Burns Jr. and wife Julia Pritchard Burns, of Friendswood, Texas; and grandchildren, Ashley Elizabeth Burns and Brian Martin Burns. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Wednesday, March 10, at 10 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 11 a.m. with funeral service immediately following. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Fred Youngs of St. Isidore Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
