
Floyd J. Daigle Sr., born in New Orleans on May 2, 1927, was a veteran of World War II and retired as a district chief from the Baton Rouge Fire Department. He lived in Pierre Part for 26 years, was a member of American Legion Post 328 and returned to Baton Rouge. He died at 4:20 p.m. Saturday, March, 22, 2008, at Regency Place. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, March 25, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes in the funeral home chapel Wednesday from 9 a.m. until service at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Chris Decker. Interment in Prairieville Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mary Marchand Daigle; a brother, Errol Daigle; eight children, Floyd J. Daigle Jr., of San Antonio, Benita Ball, of Central City, Curt Daigle and wife Debbie, of Baton Rouge, Louisa Carter and husband Allen, of Central City, Claudette Allen, of Baton Rouge, Lovie Sue Landis and husband Bruce, of Port Allen, Janell Barber and husband Neil, of Watson, and René Daigle, of Baton Rouge; daughter-in-law, Sandra Saizan Daigle, of Walker; eight grandchildren, Rane Constantino, Bill J. Ball, Connie Runnels, Celeste Daigle, Benjamin Daigle, Kyle Barber, Austin Barber and Dalton Saizan; two great-grandchildren, Raymond Constantino III and Evan Constantino. Preceded in death by his father, Eusebe Daigle; mother, Lena Desselle Daigle; sister, Sister Doris Daigle; son, Jack Daigle; sons-in-law, Bill Ball Jr. and Ronnie Allen; sister-in-law, Lovie Daigle; and brothers-in-law, Leo Daigle, Damien Falcon and Tony Desselle.
