"Frances Robichaux Bahlinger died peacefully on September 15, 2018 while surrounded by her loving family. Frances was born on September 10, 1924. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy and LSU, where she served as president of Delta Zeta sorority and played softball for the Tigers. She and Julius were founding members of St. Aloysius Church where she served as Eucharistic Minister, as well as on the first RCIA committee. Frances happily spent her life as a "stay at home mom" caring for her husband, her six children, and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Frances was the ultimate giver, always putting others before herself. She taught us the true meaning of living life selflessly. Frances is survived by her children: Juli Bahlinger; Pati Capdevielle; Andy (Kathy) Bahlinger; Barbara (Alan) Griffin; Lisa (Frankie) Marcello; and Mimi (Brent) Bueche. She was fondly called "Num" by her grandchildren: Nathan, Josh, and Leah Dodds; Alyce (Chris) Blackstone; Jacob (Ashley) Capdevielle; Mic (Jaclyn) Capdevielle; Trey Capdevielle; Blair (J. )Walpole; Drew Bahlinger; Alissa (Brian) McWilliams; Ashley (Mitch) Nelson; Jeb (Shelley) Black; Aubrey (Brandon) Bullock; Brad (Jessie) Black; Jamie Hernandez; Kelli Ferachi; and Elizabeth and Natalie Bueche. "Num" also treasured her 24 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by: her brother, Gerry (Patricia) Robichaux; and her sister-in-law, Janie Robichaux. She was preceded in death by: her husband of 67 years, Julius Bahlinger; son-in-law, Ike Capdevielle; parents, Francis and Lucille Robichaux; brother, Thomas Robichaux; and her infant son. A visitation will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church on Friday, September 21, from 9:30 am until the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Special thanks to her caregivers, Kim Edwards and Stephanie Delmore, and to Hospice In His Care for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, Frances requested donations to St. Aloysius Church, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or a charity of your choice.
