

Frances graduated from Amite High School, attended LSU in the teaching program before transferring and graduating from "Big" Charity Hospital in New Orleans as a R.N. in 1950. She went back to school to get her B.S.N. in 1979 and retired as The Nursing Director of the East Baton Rouge Health Unit in 1988. She enjoyed music, gardening and spending time with family. She was a longtime member of Comite Baptist Church since 1958. She loved her church and the Word of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nina (Mixon) and Wallace Tate; husband Harry Joseph Galiano; and son Harry "Joe" Galiano II.
She is survived by daughter, Debbie James (Johnny); son, Clay Galiano (Kathy); 5 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge LA, 70815, on Monday, September 9th from 12:30pm until 2pm with a service to follow starting at 2pm. A short graveside service will be held inside the Mausoleum following services.
