Frances was preceded in death by her father, Frank J. Mollere, Jr.; her mother, Mae Montecino Mollere; her sister, Brenda J. Mollere; and her godmother Sr. Rosemary Montecino. She is survived by her sisters, Karen Mollere and Kim Mollere, who is also her godchild. Frances also leaves behind many cherished friends and special people whose presence and care meant a great deal to her: Barbara Baughman; her godson, Clay Powell; her godson Steve Blanchard; JME Lysinger; Dr. JJ England; Dr. Hazel Carney; Darrell and Angele Ourso; Amanda Ourso Ieyoub; Daniel Ourso; Steven Powell; Forrest Guedry; Kenzie Powell; Tanner Powell; and Andrew Ellis. Frances also had a large extended family with many cousins that she loved deeply and so many special friends that became like family over the years.
Frances graduated from St. Anthony Catholic School in 1956. It was there that she developed a love of music, which remained a meaningful thread throughout Frances’s life. As a teenager, she sang on the radio for the Teen Town Rally, and that love of singing stayed with her through the years. She also had the pleasure of singing to the audience during a recent comedy tour by Anjelah Johnson-Reyes in New Orleans. A video of the moment was later posted on YouTube from the 2025 NOLA–Alabama tour. Alongside her love of music, Frances found daily comfort and enjoyment in her kitties, playing games on her tablet, and keeping up with family and friends on Facebook, always staying connected in the ways that mattered most to her. She took great joy in watching the children that she nurtured as babies grow, graduate, marry, have children of their own, and become amazing adults. She so loved being a part of their lives. After retirement, she enjoyed videography and spent many happy hours filming her sister Kim's bands. Later in life, she developed a love of travel and especially enjoyed visits to Disneyworld, the Drummond Ranch in Oklahoma, and the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina.
Frances cared deeply for others, and her warmth made it easy to feel welcomed in her life; once she met you, you became her friend. She carried a special concern for those she loved, especially during stormy weather, and in the face of life's uncertainties, she turned steadily to prayer and her faith in God. She faithfully attended St. Thomas More Catholic Church until the COVID-19 pandemic and afterward continued participating in Mass online. Her family and her faith formed the foundation of her life, inspiring the generosity, compassion, and love she shared with everyone around her.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the special ladies who cared for Frances: Ms. Shaneka, Ms. Machelle, Ms. Ruth, Ms. Brunetta, Ms. Pat, Ms. Keoisha, Ms. Gladys, Ms. Alice, and Ms. Yvonne. Thank you as well to all family and friends for your prayers, support, and love.
