Frances Morel

After a courageous battle with cancer our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully at The Crossing of Clarity Hospice of Baton Rouge on Saturday, May 24th, 2014 at 11:45pm.

She was surrounded by her loving family. She was 79, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Bossier City.

Fran was survived by her sons, Tony, David, and Ronald; daughter, Pam Giauque, and Terry Morel, who has been more than a daughter-in-law. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Morel in 2009 and two sons, Donald Morel in 1995 and Glen Morel in 2011.

Fran had 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren that all loved and adored her dearly. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Silvio and Nona Lodatto, and stepmother, Mary Ringo Silvio; sisters, Mary Katherine Fletcher, Esther (“Baby”) Henson, and Anntoinette “Tutter” Manola.

Fran was also survived by her two brothers, Carlo Silvio and Angelo Silvio and spouse, Rosemary Silvio.

Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd. on Monday, June 2nd from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue Tuesday, June 3rd at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 9150 Highland Rd. from 9:00 am til funeral service and celebration of life at 11:00am.

Pallbearers will be Tony, David, Ronald, Nicolas, Joel Morel and Sean Gaffney. Immediately following the service, the interment will be at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
