

Francis Alvin "Al" Lemoine, a native of Plaucheville and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away Friday, March 7, 2014 at the age of 79. Al was retired from Allied Chemical and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a charter member of St. Louis King of France Parish and his dearest ministry to the church was as a member of the choir. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from 5pm until 8pm. Visitation on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 will be at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church from 8am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10am officiated by Rev. Jack Nutter. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Al was survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary LeJeune Lemoine, two daughters and sons-in-law, Rachel and Steve Boudreaux and Claire and Mark Gregory, and a son and daughter-in-law, Marcel and Nancy Lemoine. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Tyler and Danielle Boudreaux, Sarah and Lauren Gregory, and Madeline and Mary Grace Lemoine, a sister, Bernice Barrios along with numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Madeline Lemoine, and siblings, Tony, Leo, Lester, Charles, John, Sister Maxelinda, Flavia, and Eleanor.
