Frank Andrew Catanzaro passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at the age of 83. Frank was a very proud graduate of the 1956 class of Catholic High School. Born and raised in Baton Rouge, a lifelong lover of all things Louisiana, he was dedicated to his family first, and then every single person he ever met. As the owner of Chan-Lor Sales and Service, Frank’s passion for helping people, was evident in every roof he addressed. His 51 years as a roofer touched not only his clients but the entire community. He was always so appreciative of his many, loyal customers whom all called him friend. He was a talented artist and dancer with a deep love for “old time, real” country music. He was extremely proud of the 40 plus years he and his much-loved wife Sherra, spent as members of the Cruzin’ Cajun, American Motor Home Association and loved the times spent travelling, cooking, and running the group’s store. He loved the LSU Tigers, the Saints and cooking. Frank had an incredible sense of humor and was a great storyteller. His repeated jokes and warm smile will forever be his legacy. He will forever be remembered as “Daddy Cat” and Mr. Frank. And he considered it his greatest blessing to be PawPaw Frank to his treasured children and grandchildren. Frank is survived by wife Sherra Boyette; daughter, Lorrie (Bucky) Bearden; step-son, Kevin (Kim) Carter; grandsons, Chad (Tina) Bearden, Bryan (Kaitlyn) Bearden, Brett Bearden, Casey Catanzaro, Justin Carter (Brittani), Jacob Carter; granddaughter, Addison Carter; great-grandsons, Zayn and Benton Bearden; great-granddaughter, Steelie Mae Carter; sisters, Phyllis Hayes, Toni Lewis and Fran Dubuisson; and many cousins, nieces and nephews that he greatly adored.
