Frank P. Griffin Jr.

Frank Peter Griffin Jr., 91, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Born on January 2, 1934, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Frank lived a long and accomplished life marked by dedication to his family and entrepreneurial spirit. Frank was honored to serve his country as a member of the Navy Reserve. A dedicated supporter of the Green Wave, he remained a loyal Tulane football fan throughout his life.

Frank began his professional journey as a manager at Gulf States Screw Products, where he developed the expertise and leadership skills that would later define his career. In 1974, drawing on this experience and driven by a vision for innovation and growth, he founded Delta Bolt LLC. Under his guidance, the company grew into a respected name in the fastener industry, reflecting Frank’s commitment to excellence and hard work.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Carol Songy Griffin; his daughter, Janelle Griffin Hyde (Elvis); and his son, Frank P. Griffin III (Terri). His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Melissa Sutton Counts (Chris) and Christopher Griffin; great-granddaughters, Taylor Flowers Willbanks (Nicholas) and Brittnee Flowers; and great-great-grandson, Wesley Willbanks.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank P. Griffin Sr. and Ruth Burkhart Griffin, and his sisters, Doris, Miriam, and Helena.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the dedicated caregivers of Frank and Carol.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 19th, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Greenoaks Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Chapel, located at 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 70815. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, a cause that was close to Frank’s heart.
