Frederick "Rick" Joseph Keng was born on October 10, 1952 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and peacefully passed away on December 3, 2020. Rick grew up in New Orleans and attended Holy Rosary grammar school, was part of the charter graduating class of Brother Martin High, graduated from LSU, and worked toward his master's degree at UT, Austin. Rick had a successful real estate career in the Bay Area of California, but he eventually returned back to New Orleans and spent 25 years in furniture design and sales. Some of his design work was featured in local magazines. Rick embraced everything New Orleans but also held a deep appreciation for his Lebanese heritage and the cuisine, which he learned from his mother. Affectionately known as "Uncle Rick" by close family, he touched the hearts of many with his wit and charming personality. He was a master at crossword puzzles. Rick was predeceased by his parents, Irene Nolan Keng and William M. Keng. He is survived by his sister, Margaret Ann Keng of Chicago, IL; brother, Randy Keng (Linda) of Madison, MS; and many nieces and nephews. Due to Covid-19, there will be no formal service, and Rick will be buried next to his mom in Roselawn Cemetery in Baton Rouge.
