
Gail was born Feb. 14, 1946, in Baton Rouge. She passed away at home on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, surrounded by her family and friends after several years of battling cancer. She lost the fight, but battled courageously to the end. She was a wife, sister, mother, and a grandmother. She was proud to be called a homemaker. Gail had friends who loved her dearly and she will miss them all. She was a graduate of Lee High School and LSU. She was an alumna of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, William Poché, and their children, Jennifer Anne Poché, Scott William Poché and wife Kelly, and Lindsay Clare Penfield and husband Clint. She has four grandchildren, Marilynn Penfield, Charlotte Penfield, Clare Poché and Emily Poché. She has a brother, David Breidenbach and wife Madeline; sister, Clare Lamparter and husband, Tom; uncle, Bob Ednie and wife Norma; in-laws, James A. Poché and wife Missy, and Charlotte Pierce and husband Jack; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eric and Marilynn Breidenbach. Memorial service will be held at St. George Catholic Church. Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. with services to follow. Inurnment will be in St. George Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Baton Rouge, which was her wish.
