Garland B. Belongia

If you asked a hundred people who Garland B. Belongia was, they’d all give you a different answer. A perfectionist. A prankster. A rebel. A standup kind of guy. To his family he was all of these things but mostly our hero. Garland passed away peacefully at his home in Walker, LA on June 17th, 2021 at the age of 79 with his family by his side. Garland was born in New Orleans, LA on January 18, 1942 to Melvin John and Tilda May Belongia and he was their only child. From an early age Garland had a love for life and lived it to the fullest. He worked and played hard. He had a deep passion for cars, engines, racing and pretty much anything with wheels. We know that the auto parts industry will be taking a big hit by his passing and apologize for the decline in your sales. Garland is survived by his wife Jolene Belongia of 56 years. His daughters, Dana Kennedy (Lance Kennedy) and Dena Arnone (Randall Arnone); grandchildren, Brooke Kennedy, Brock Primeaux, Garland Blake Johnston, Joshua Arnone, Cade Primeaux, Bryce Kennedy and Bella Kennedy. The funeral service will be held at Rabenhorst East 11100 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA on June 22, 2021. Visitation is 2 pm-6 pm with funeral service at 6 pm.
