
A lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, Gary Paul LeBlanc, 45, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet. Gary was a respected and accomplished painter who worked throughout south Louisiana. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Friday, Jan. 16, was from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting at St. George Catholic Church, 7808 St. George Drive, on Saturday from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by his wife, Barbara Simoneaux LeBlanc; two sons, Travis and Triston LeBlanc; mother, Shirley Bourgeois LeBlanc; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Michael LeBlanc and Wayne and Julissa LeBlanc, of Dallas; and two nieces, Ashley and Shelley LeBlanc. Preceded in death by his father, Numa Joseph LeBlanc. Pallbearers will be Travis LeBlanc, Michael LeBlanc, Wayne LeBlanc, Dave Thomas, Ashley LeBlanc and Andrew Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Ray, Triston LeBlanc, Gerard Templet, John Templet and Joe Muguira. Gary was a devoted father and dedicated to raising his two sons. He took pride in spending time with Triston in Cub Scouts and keeping up with Travis in the Marines. He was also passionate in sharing his experience, strength and hope in both Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon. He was a graduate of Redemptorist High School and a member of St. Jude the Apostle Church.
