Gary Wilkinson Sr.

Gary Wilkinson Sr.'s love of life didn't come to an end with his death. After a brief battle with cancer, Gary was called home the morning of February 4, 2022, at the age of 75. He was born in Liberty, Mississippi to the late Hewitt Wilkinson and Mary Ackerman. He is survived by his daughter Carol Lynn and husband Michael Rodriguez, daughter Charmaine and husband Mike Pace, and son Gary Jr. and wife Lori Wilkinson. He also leaves behind his brothers Kevin and Louie Wilkinson. Not to forget the many nieces, nephews, grandkids, and great grandkids who were blessed to have him in their life. He was predeceased by his sister Diane Rizzutto and his son Gene Wilkinson. Gary was a millwright at Placid Refinery and worked there for many years before his retirement at the age of 62. In August 1964, Gary married his wife Willie and went on to have their four children before her passing in 1988. He was also predeceased by his second wife, Kathleen. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His passion and integrity to those he loved was unwavering. His love for hunting and enthusiasm for motorcycles and Harley Davidson will also be carried on by his children and grandchildren. His infectious smile and laugh will live on forever. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm with service beginning at 2:00 pm.
