George B. Nesbit

George Nesbit, born in Baton Rouge and resident of Greenwell Springs, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at the age of 89. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who is survived by his sons, Mark Nesbit and Clay Nesbit; daughters, Ann Nesbit, Susan Nesbit Palmer, and Emily Nesbit Williams and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Clay Nesbit, Jr., Tyler Nesbit Lauren and Katie Williams; great-grandchildren, Jade and Cole Nesbit; brothers, William Nesbit and Richard Nesbit; and sister, Mary Claire Lacour. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marian Nesbit; parents, Grover and Alice Nesbit; brothers, John Phillip, Grover Eustis and Wilbur Daniel; and sisters, Carmelitte Daigle, Betty Boudreaux, and Rose Dorian. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home Monday, July 7, 2014 from 5pm-9pm. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church from 10AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. Interment will follow on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park.
