Geraldine "Jerry" Miles Spinosa

"Born March 8, 1929, Geral­dine passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at the age of 87. All who knew and loved her will always remember her compassion, generous nature and vibrant spirit. Geraldine was a home­maker who loved nothing more than simply being with her 11 children, 36 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren. She had a passion for cooking and watching LSU Football, but the one thing she cher­ished the most was watching ALL her "babies" grow. Geral­dine was preceded in death by her husband, Lucas J. Spinosa Sr.; parents, Lula Miles Ousley and Jessie Miles; sisters, Hazel Modicut and Juanita Summer­ville; brother, Travis Miles; half-sister, Billie Jean Powell; daughter, Christine Spinosa; and son-in-law Paul Mansur. She will be dearly missed by her loving children, Johnny Spinosa (Anne), Lucas Spinosa Jr. (Terri), Hazel Mansur, Joey Spinosa (Melissa), Charlie Spi­nosa (Minnie), Travis Spinosa (Michelle), Tim Spinosa (Mor­gan), Jeri Graham (Chris), Ele­na Babin (Randy), and Lucia Roppolo (Ryan); and all her grandchildren, great grandchil­dren, nieces and nephews who she loved immensely. Visita­tion will be Monday November 21, 2016 at Rabenhorst Funer­al Home East from 5pm-8pm and Tuesday November 22, 2016 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church 9am-10am. Mass of Christian Burial by Fr. Cleo Milano at 10am at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers are the 6 sons of Lucas and Geraldine Spinosa.
