"Geraldine Werner Tapia Sells, a native of Rayne and a former resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018, at Golden Age Nursing Home in Denham Springs. She was 83 and was a member of Florida Boulevard Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and wife. She is survived by her husband, Gerald C. Sells; her daughter, Carmen Tapia Breaux and husband Warren; her sons: Louis Tapia, Daniel Tapia and wife Lavon; and 2 sons-in-law: Kenneth McDade and Chris Ruhe. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and her sister, Jeanette Hand. She is preceded in death by her husband, Isauro E. Tapia; daughters: Glenda McDade and Yolanda Ruhe; her son, David Tapia; sister, Charlotte Venable; and brother, Max Werner. Visitation will be on Friday, January 5, 2018, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, from 11am until service at 1pm. Burial will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
