Gerard Joseph Theriot, age 71, passed away on July 20, 2022. He was a graduate of Redemptorist High School, and was employed by the State of Louisiana for 39 years. Gerard enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hunting, watching LSU sports, and was an avid Saints fan. He was an animal lover, and enjoyed spending time with his dog, Cola. If you were a friend of Gerard, you were a friend for life. He survived by his sister, Pat Theriot Duhe, sister-in-law Clara Theriot; step children, Kim Applegarth McCauley, Bruce Applegarth, Jr., Shane Michael Donahue; numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Gerard is preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol Lee Fagot Theriot; parents, Ferdinand Sr., and Irma Hebert Theriot; brothers, Ferdinand Theriot, Robert Theriot; sister-in-law, Sharon Theriot. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 11:00am - 12:00pm with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 12:00pm at St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church. 5354 Plank Rd.
