
Gilbert J. Glynn was born on April 30, 1920, and passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at St. Clare Manor in Baton Rouge. He was 86, a resident of Baton Rouge, a retired air traffic controller for the Federal Aviation Administration, and a U.S. Army Air Forces veteran of World War II, having served in the Philippines. He was a founding member of the Kiwanis Club inAlcoa, Tenn., and a graduate of theUniversityofTennessee. Mr. Glynn is survived by his wife of 59 years, Alice Marstiller Glynn; children, Alan Michael Glynn and wife Rachel, Laura Nelle Glynn Rome and husband John, Marilyn Glynn Thompson, and Henry M. Glynn and wife Leisa; niece, Barbara Aucoin; uncle, Andrew Murphy Glynn; and four grandchildren, David Harrold and wife Kessa and their children, Draven, Kirsten, Paiglynn and Lacken, and Averie L. Thompson, Robin L. Thompson and Garret Glynn. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Thursday, March 15, from 6 p.m.to 8 p.m.and Friday, March 16, from 11:30 a.m.until religious service at 12:30 p.m.in the chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Jere Milelli. Interment will follow inPortHudsonNationalCemetery.
