
Gladys M. Magruder, 83, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2007, in Birmingham, Ala., surrounded by her family. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., was on Sunday, July 1, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m. Visiting at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church on Monday from 9 a.m. until Mass at 11 a.m. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Michael Jarreau of Greenwell Springs; son and daughter-in-law, Martin and Cindy Magruder of Greenwell Springs; son and daughter-in-law, Randall and JoAnn Magruder, Picayune, Miss.; and daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Marcus Wright of Birmingham. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Jana Jarreau, Gerard, Jay, Everett and Shannon Magruder and John David, Emily, Phillip, William and Alexander Wright. Preceded in death by her parents, Louis J. Martin Jr. and Winnie Chustz Martin. Pallbearers will be Gerard Magruder, Jay Magruder, Everett Magruder, John David Wright, Mitchell Amedee and Mark Hebert. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Jarreau and Marcus Wright. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her "angel sent from heaven," Viola Winfield, for her love and dedication.
