

Glen Alan Jacoby died Tuesday, December 22, 2010 at 2:08 PM in Baton Rouge, LA at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was born on July 21, 1948 to Irwin and Martha Jacoby in Baltimore, Maryland. After graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a BSEE, he served honorably in the National Guard as a Second Lieutenant. Throughout his career, he held numerous engineering, consulting, and management roles in various organizations throughout the United States. A passionate athlete his entire life, he was a high school track athlete, a talented marathon runner, a dedicated biker, as well as a triathlete. Friends and colleagues described him as a spirited competitor. His favorite places to travel for competitions as well as pleasure were the gulf coast beaches. By many he was known as a great friend and an extremely proud father of two children Dana and Marcus Jacoby. He is survived by his parents Irwin and Martha Jacoby of Marco Island, FL, Dana Jacoby of Doylestown, PA, Marcus Jacoby of Foster City, CA and his wife Gail Jacoby, as well as her children Amy Vignes and Eric Barnett. In celebration of his life, a reception will be held in his honor at the Greenoaks Life Celebration Center on Tuesday, December 28 from 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society http://www.leukemia-lymphoma.org.
