Glenda F. Paddie was born February 16, 1954 in Reserve, LA and passed away on September 22, 2026 in Baton Rouge, LA at the age of 72. Glenda died peacefully at home, after a battle with liver disease. She graduated from Redemptorist High School. She is survived by her loving husband, Steve P. Paddie, Sr. of 50 Years, daughter, Ashley P. Mannino and husband, Christopher Mannino, son, Steve P. Paddie, Jr. and wife, Jamie J Paddie, four grandchildren, Christian Mannino, Avery Claire Mannino, Cade Paddie and Talon Paddie, her sister, Dianne F. Webber and husband, August Webber. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Freddie J. Fossier, Sr. and Marjorie M. Fossier, her brother’s, Freddie J. Fossier, Jr. and Ronald J. Fossier, and her sisters, Leona M. Fossier Hodges, Marjorie Fossier Reno and Judith Bergeron.
Pallbearers will be Steve P. Paddie, Jr., Cade Paddie, Christopher Mannino, Christian Mannino, August Webber, Kevin Webber, Rhett Webber and Talon Paddie (Honorary Pallbearer).
Glenda was a truly special woman with a heart of gold. Her faith in God was at the heart of her life, and she always put God first and her family above everything else. She treasured every moment with her family and had a way of making everyone she met feel loved. Her kindness, love, and beautiful spirit touched so many lives. She will be deeply missed, but forever remembered, and loved by all who were blessed to know her.
Visitation will be held at Green Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park, located at 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70815 on Monday, September 28, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A mass will be held at St. Gerard Magella Catholic Church located at 5354 Plank Rd., Baton Rouge, LA 70805, on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. at the church. A eulogy celebrating Glenda‘s life will be shared by her son, Steve Paddie, Jr. at 10:50 a.m. during visitation prior to mass. Following the mass, will be the burial at Greenoaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
The family would also like to give a special thanks to all friends and family, the East Jefferson General Hospital and to the nurses and staff of Heart of Hospice.
