

A retired title examiner for the Louisiana Department of Public Safety, she passed away on Monday, Nov. 13, 2006, at Our Lady of theLakeRegionalMedicalCenter. She was born March 2, 1924, inPrairie Grove, Ark.She was a longtime resident of Baton Rougeand lived onToledoBendLakeafter she and her husband retired. She eventually returned to Baton Rouge. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., was on Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Mrs. Browning is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Faye Tyler and Darryl McAlister and Lydia Helen and Grady Caldwell; three sons and daughters-in-law, Louis T. "Butch" and Susan Browning, Neil Robert "Robin" and Pam Browning, and Deane and Margaret Browning; 22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Tyler Browning Sr.; daughter, Judith "Judy" Gayle Walker; parents, Leroy Joshua and Grace Helen Dearing Grantham; and grandparents who raised her, James Oscar and Narlene Deane Wallace Dearing. Pallbearers will be Stephen LaPorte, Troy Babin, Bret Zachary, Bret Zachary Jr., Mark Miller and Mark McAllister.
