Grace Mims Early Parent passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at the age of 94. Grace retired from the Louisiana Department of Labor after 30 plus years of service. She is survived by her brother, Bob Mims of New Vernon, NJ; nieces, Elaine Robertson, Emma Jean Davis, Lynda O’Conner, Grace Zwillman, Robin Mindnich, Sheila Soniat, Bonnie Mann, and Jackie Hopkins; nephews, Gene Mims, Jim Guidry, Steve Guidry, Kerry Mims; and stepsons, Dale, Wayne, and Randy Parent. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hampton and Carrie Bailes Mims; husbands, Henry Early and Ferris Parent; sister, Madge Guidry; and brothers, Jewel, Otis, and Jack Mims. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 from 9 a.m. until Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Interment will follow on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park.
