

Harold E. Hill, a native of Lumberton, MS and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012, he was 82. Harold was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in occupied Germany in the early 50’s and retired from Redstick Linens/Cintas after 46 years of service. Harold was an avid LSU fan and outdoorsmen who enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Baist Hunting Club for 37 years. He is Survived by his son Rodney and wife, Karen Mayeaux Hill and grandchild, Brandon Schexnayder. He is preceded in death by the love of his life of 57 years, Jerry Hill; his mother, Bessie Hill and his brothers, Robert and James Hill. A special “thank you” to all of the loving support of his friends and neighbors; extended family at Whealdon Estates; the staff at The Carpenter House for the excellent care and Dr. Jay Brooks and staff at Oschners. “My Dad was a hero to me and to some their “John Wayne”, he will be truly missed.” In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St Joseph Hospice The Carpenter House and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 3pm-5pm and will resume on Monday, July 30, 2012 from 9am until memorial service at 10am. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
