Harold John Lacoste, a native of Baton Rouge, and current resident of Gonzales, died on January 16, 2022. He was 87. He was a 1952 graduate of Istrouma High School. He served in the 769th Army Battalion National Guard. He was a Brick Mason for over 40 years, designing and building many notable properties throughout Baton Rouge and surrounding areas. He will be remembered for his love of LSU football and his greatest joy, spending time through the years with his grandsons. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rosalie Aucoin Lacoste, sister, Lana LeBlanc, and brother, Ronald Lacoste. Also left to cherish his memory, is his daughter, Cynthia (Cindy) Devall and son in law Steve Devall, four grandsons and their spouses: Stephen and Karen Devall, Scott and Annalee Devall, Jason and Rachel Devall, and Kyle and Korie Devall and great grandchildren: Katelyn, Jenna, Brylee, Kaylee, Mason, and Jace Devall. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rose Marie Sanchez Lacoste, father, Sidney Adam Lacoste, mother, Ida Olinde Lacoste; brothers, Warren Lacoste and Sidney Lacoste Jr. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 20, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rabenhorst East, 11000 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday January 21, at 10am, at St John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville. Burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, 4045 North Street, Baton Rouge.
