
A native and resident of Baton Rouge, he died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007, at Ollie Steele Burden Manor. He was born on Oct. 28, 1915, to Frank and Mamie Baddock Stabiler. He was the founder and owner of Overpass Cleaners and was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the USO in San Diego during World War II. Visiting will be at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 445 Marquette Ave., on Tuesday, Oct. 23, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Miles Walsh, celebrant. Entombment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survivors include a sister, Bessie Stabiler Hawthorne; two nieces, Joyce DeArmond McIntire and her husband, Ronald Klein McIntire Jr. and Jonnie-Lu DeArmond Kleinpeter; two great-nephews, Ronald K. "Trey" McIntire III and John Donald Kleinpeter; a great-great-niece, Allison Nevon McIntire; and two great-great-nephews, Hunter Klein McIntire and Carter Hamilton McIntire. Preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Lucille Stabiler DeArmond. Pallbearers will be Larry Cumbo, the Rev. Donald Tabb, Trey McIntire, Joe Cashio, Bill Fairbanks, Lionel Kleinpeter and Darryl Wilson. Honorary pallbearers are Peyton Parker and Sal Cashio. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church and the Usher Society. He was a singer in numerous Big Band and Dance Band groups throughout his entire life.
