

Harvey Curtin, Jr., native of Baton Rouge, LA and resident of Denham Springs, LA, he passed away on Friday, January 28, 2011 at the age of 85. He is survived by his daughter, Pat Hennessy; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Linda Curtin and Kerry and Connie Curtin; seven grandchildren, Kellee Hennessy Dickerson and husband Scott, Erin Hennessy Jones and husband Stacy, D.J. Curtin and wife Stephanie, Tim Curtin and wife Michelle, Jason Curtin and wife Melanie, Bradley Curtin and wife Crystal, and Megan Elizabeth Curtin; 11 great grandchildren, Mallory Dickerson, Jordyn and Braden Jones, Jonathan, Brett, Kayla, Mackenzie, Isabella, Dawson, Bryson, and Olivia Curtin; great-great grandchild, Dane Curtin; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ethelyn Robert Curtin; parents, Harvey and Donice Holmes Curtin; sisters, Helen Sachse and Mabel Curtin; aunt, Lucille Curtin; and son-in-law, James Hennessy. A long time member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denham Springs, Harvey was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and retired from Bellsouth Phone Company. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and gardening. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Sunday, January 30, 2011 from 6 pm until 9 pm and will resume on Monday from 12 noon until religious services at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Cleo Milano. Pallbearers will be Scott Dickerson, Stacy Jones, DJ Curtin, Tim Curtin, Jason Curtin, Bradley Curtin, and Chris Wilkerson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Herschel Dean, Jason Ard, and his nephews, Jack, Jeff, and Jed Sachse. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
