

Helen K. Erwin, age 93, passed away peacefully October 25, 2013 at Butterfly Wing of Baton Rouge General Medical Center. Born November 19, 1919 in St. Francisville (Starhill), LA and a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge. She was a member of St. Pius X and St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Churches. After the death of her husband, she became an LPN and retired from Lane Memorial Hospital. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and great grandmother who was survived by her three children: Victor Jacob Erwin and wife Margaret, Sharon Erwin Buhler, and Armand Erwin and wife Carol (Tug); grandchildren: Victor P. Erwin, Keith Erwin, Darryl Buhler, Roger Buhler, Michael B. Buhler, Kelly Erwin Stokley and husband Gregory, Armand (AJ) Erwin Jr. and wife Christine; great grandchildren: Trenton Buhler, Zachary Buhler, Brenton Buhler, Gabrielle Stokley, Brandon Stokley, Kaylyn Erwin, Caleb Erwin, Kathrine Erwin, Elijah Erwin, Zechariah Erwin, and Stephanie L’Heureux. She is preceded in death by her husband, Victor Louis Erwin, her parents, John and Ellen Kinchen, and her grandchild Michael J. Buhler. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home Monday October 28, 2013 from 5PM-8PM and will resume Tuesday October 29, 2013 at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church,( 9150 Highland Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70810;The corner of Highland Road and Gardere Lane) at 9AM until Funeral Mass at 11AM. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
