
Henry J. "Hank" Didier passed away peacefully at Hospice of Baton Rouge on Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, at the age of 76. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He was a native of Port Allen and a resident of Baton Rouge. Henry served in the U.S. Air Force, belonged to the Knights of Columbus and Catholic High School Men's Club, and was a longtime lover of LSU sports. He retired from Dow Chemical Co. with 25 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Vera Goff Didier; son, David P. Didier and his wife, Julie Tugwell Didier; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Ainsworth Didier; three grandchildren, Brandon M. Didier, Brandy Didier Silvio and Addison Claire Didier; two great-grandchildren, Ty Didier and Cole Didier; sisters-in-law, Norma Didier, Lou Didier, JoAnne G. Payne and Evelyn G. Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Joseph Didier; his parents, Isadore and Noelie Pourciau Didier; two brothers, Joseph I. Didier and James B. Didier; and sister, Dorothy Didier. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., was on Wednesday, Jan. 24, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation at St. Jude Catholic Church on Thursday, Jan. 25, from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be David Didier, Brandon Didier, Glen West, Darryl Didier, Marvin Christensen, Earl LeBlanc and Merlin Juneau. Donations in his name may be made to Hospice of Baton Rouge or Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area.
