Hilda Miscar Buhler

Hilda Miscar Buhler, 96, of Greenwell Springs, LA, passed away peacefully at home on May 29, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 15, 1930 in Baton Rouge, she was the daughter of the late Dwarcie Miscar and Julia Mae Tate. She was the sister of the late Edward Murphy Miscar and Doris Miscar Crowell. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Delmar Joseph Buhler and her grandson Corey Buhler. She graduated from Istrouma High School in 1947. She enjoyed camping, gardening, traveling, cooking, and relaxing on her porch watching the birds with a cup of coffee. Her legacy lives on through her children Bren Buhler Truett (Mike), Steve Buhler (Carmen), Pam Buhler Ashford (Johnny), and Chris Buhler. Grandchildren are Paul Truett, Kelli Truett Stelly (Brad), Brandon Buhler (Lesley), Rhett Buhler (Brittany), Jeremy Ashford, Casie Ashford Kersey (Josh), Caitlyn Buhler Aymond (Josh), and Sage Buhler. Great grandchildren are Chance Truett (Chelsea), Dylan and Addison Stelly, Logan, Emma, Cason, Liam, and Halle Buhler, Lawson Ashford, Brelynn Vulgamore (Lane), Joshua “Bubba” and Hunter Kersey, Lilly and Lucy Aymond, and a large circle of extended family and friends who loved her dearly. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd. Service immediately follows, presided over by Rev. Glen Miers. Burial at Greenoaks with reception to follow.

Pallbearers will be Paul Truett, Brad and Kelli Stelly, Jeremy and Lawson Ashford, Josh and Casie Kersey, and Rhett Buhler.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon and Logan Buhler, Chance Truett, and Sage Buhler.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to St. Jude.
