

Hollis devoted many years of service to his community through his career, retiring from Louisiana DOTD and Gulf Engineers and Consultants. His life reflected dedication and a consistent sense of responsibility, carried out with the kind of reliability that leaves a lasting mark on those who worked alongside him.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Hollis found deep enjoyment in the outdoors.
Hollis is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Margaret F. Hodges; daughter, Elizabeth H. Phillips (Jeffrey) of Baton Rouge; son, Hollis T. Hodges, Jr. (Danielle) of Baton Rouge; daughter, Susan H. Sevier (David) of Ethel, and brother, Clyde E. Hodges of Baton Rouge.
Grandchildren: Chris Ransome (Toni), Jennifer Hurst (Doug), Jessica Hodges, Samantha Hodges, Nathaniel Hodges, Danyelle H. White (Todd), Jonathan Sevier (Lauren), Rachel S. Dallery (Will), and Jacob Sevier; and by his great-grandchildren, Andrew Ransome, Saylor Severio, Ryker Hodges, Owen Knutson, and Bellamy Sevier. Numerous nieces and nephews, too many to list.
Hollis was preceded in death by his parents, Harry H., and Idell T. Hodges; son, Paul D. Hodges; brother, Harry H. Hodges, Jr.; and his sister-in-law, Doris Hodges.
Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home & Crematory East, 11000 Florida Boulevard, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70815, on Sunday June 21, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, visitation will resume on Monday June 22, 2026, from 10:00 am until Funeral Service at 12pm.
Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park
