
Ida Louise Miller Terrell, a resident of St. James Place, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007. She was 87, born in Memphis, Tenn., on June 27, 1920. She was a graduate of the Louise S. McGehee School in New Orleans and LSU. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Antoinette "Toni" Terrell James and Newton Ward James, of Summit, Miss.; son and daughter-in-law, James Miller Terrell and Debra "Debbie" Potter Terrell; and two grandchildren, James Potter Terrell and Katherine Louise Terrell, of Baton Rouge. Preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin Terrell Jr.; daughter, Teri Lynne Terrell; and parents, Louise Demuth Miller and James Arthur Miller. An avid bridge player, Mrs. Terrell was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church, Delta Delta Delta sorority, La Lecture Book Club, Sharks Investment Club, Fais Do Do, Colonial Club and the Baton Rouge Country Club. She was also a sustaining member of the Junior League of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Friday, Oct. 12, from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Chris Andrews. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Newton Ward James, James Potter Terrell, John W. "Chip" Weimar, William H. Wright III, William B. "Billy" Potter and Butler Bourgeois. Honorary pallbearers are Thomas E. Gibbens, Dr. O.M. Thompson Jr., William H. "Bill" Wright Jr., Boyd Westbrook and Shelby Main Harris. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Baton Rouge, 9063 Siegen Lane, Suite A, Baton Rouge, LA 70810 or a charity of choice.
