She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, a self-made person, unselfish, fun, outgoing, who loved to laugh, dance, fish and was also a talented hairdresser. She will be missed by many. She was the owner of Hair Now, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Managua, Nicaragua. Irma died at 7 a.m. Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, at her residence. She was 49. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19. Visitation will resume Thursday at St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Ranzino. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by her husband, Duane Desselle, of Baton Rouge; children, Tatiana and Tonny Desselle, both of Baton Rouge; grandchild, Adrianna Desselle, of Baton Rouge; eight sisters and two brothers, all of Managua. She will be joined in heaven by her mother, father and two brothers.
