Irwin Dale McKnight

Mr. McKnight is a graduate of Istrouma High School and served his country in the Army.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Melancon McKnight; daughter, Rachael McKnight Davenport(Dave); one grandchild, Brian Davenport; sisters, Faye Whitfield, Vera Johnson Shirley Harriman, Janette (Dal) Hansen, Carolyn (Leslie) Covington and brother, Richard McKnight (Carmen); brother in law, Herman Melancon.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Eunice McKnight; brothers, Robert, Ray, Don, and Vick McKnight and one sister, Virginia Peters.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 27, 2018 at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA, from 5:00-8:00pm. Visitation will resume Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 10:00am until service time of 12:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude children’s Research Hospital or Billy Graham Ministries.
