A retired BellSouth employee, she died at 5 a.m.Saturday, April 14, 2007, at her home in Baton Rouge. She was 96 and a native of New Roads. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East,11000 Florida Blvd., on Monday, April 16, from 5 p.m.to 8 p.m.Visiting at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m.until religious service at 10:30 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Tom Duhe. Interment inRoselawnMemorial Park. She is survived by two sisters, Marie Burroughs and Anna Louise Davis; two brothers, Sidney D. Roy, and RobertE. Royand wife McCoy Roy; and 23 nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, William Peter Stenger; brothers and sisters, Waldo Roy, Clement Bert Roy, Lynwood J. Roy, Theresa R. Seiler and Marjorie Roy. Pallbearers will be C.B. Roy Jr., Jerry Davis, Jeff Roy, Ray Roy, Clint Burroughs and Paul Roy.
