

Monday, June 5, 2017. Jean was the very best wife, mother, grandmother and friend that a person could ask for. She was a faithful member of Florida
Boulevard Baptist Church where she served as a fifth grade Sunday School teacher for over 32 years and worked in the Mother's Day Out program where
she taught Bible and music in the Daycare. Jean leaves behind her husband of 67 years, Kenneth Grider: daughter, Lisa Grider Bozeman and husband Terry of Baton Rouge and son, Randy Grider of Prarieville. Grandchildren: Kellen Bozeman and wife Candace, Brennan Bozeman, Conner Bozeman and Cade Grider. She also leaves behind a sister, Melba Anderson of Rogers, Ark, and brothers, Claude Vanlandingham and wife Joyce of Eldorado Hills, California and Delbert Vanlandingham and wife Helen of Little Rock, Ark. And brother-in-laws, Gorman Grider and wife Anna of Hermitage, Ark and Robert and wife Joan of Jacksonville, Ark and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will also be missed by her parrot, Pete and her special cat, JoJo. She was born August 7, 1929 and was preceded in death by her parents, Ola and Ray Vanlandingham. Jean had a joy for life that will be greatly missed. She loved going on vacations to the beach with family, making crafts of all kinds, watching her grandchildren play sports and loving on her animals. The family would like to give a special thank you to our church family and friends especially, Bob and Pat Jenkins, Imogene Harvey, Jean's Sunday School class and Jim and Barbara Walsh who all prayed for, visited, called and cooked for the family during her illness. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made in memory of Jean to Florida Blvd. Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be: Grandsons: Kellen Bozeman, Brennan Bozeman, Cade
Grider, close almost friend, Jimmy Bozeman, son in law, Terry Bozeman and cousin, Jim Walsh. Visitation will be held at Florida Blvd. Baptist Church on Thursday, June 8 from 10am until funeral service begins at 12pm. Graveside service to follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
